about
City in the Sea!
lyrics
Earth's getting furious,
Of all the abuse,
Disasters abound everywhere.
Ravaging pollution,
Nature takes action,
Upon us unleash its fury.
Waters are flooding,
Volcanoes explode,
No one could see it coming.
Extinction draws closer,
Time's burning faster,
Will our kind escape its decay?
Looking for shelter,
They hide underground.
In hope for a future,
All safe and sound.
Centuries have passed,
Away from the sky,
Elaborate underground base.
Resources are fading,
They struggle for breathing,
No space left to procreate.
Starvation gets common,
Outbreaks of disease,
All left to fend for themselves.
Consumed is the refuge,
All corners' been used,
Mankind faces a wall once again!
It's time to emerge,
No choice anymore.
What's waiting for them?
The Xenozoïc Age!
Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, Race through scale-covered beasts.
Cadillacs & Dinosaurs - Man and machine, against the wild!
Cadillacs & Dinosaurs - Tame the creature, or face your death.
Cadillacs & Dinosaurs!
People of the old blood,
Mechanics and Mages,
They fight to maintain earth's balance.
Restoring machines,
Of the ancient world,
Speed Demons of the wasteland.
Council of Governors
Impose their way
Tyrants of the city at the sea.
Treacherous jungles
Will draw the line
In this desperate fight to survive!
It's time to emerge,
No choice anymore.
What's waiting for them?
The Xenozoïc Age!
Cadillacs & Dinosaurs - Up the food chain, the Shivat reigns.
Cadillacs & Dinosaurs - Man and machine, against the wild!
Cadillacs & Dinosaurs - Tame the creature or face your death.
Cadillacs & Dinosaurs!
Freedom - V8 power at your feet.
Fearless - Of the dangers you'll meet.

If Elric had a soundtrack it would be this. It's everything you want from a epic metal album. Like a hot poker in the eye, but in a good way. Scott Malthouse

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
